I've got the plot!

When I signed up on the allotment waiting list last year I thought I might get one by the time I retired. It was a bit of a shock when I got to the top of the list after only 14 months. I'm not sure I've got the time at the moment, so I've taken on a quarter plot to see how I go.

The allotment is on the Lower Roedale site in Hollingdean, Brighton. Strangely Lower Roedale is right on on the top of the hill with a tremendous view over Brighton to the sea. On a clear day you can see the Isle of Wight. The quarter plots come ready dug and the idea is that tenants try them out to see if they can keep on top of the work before moving up to a large
r plot.

This blog is a journal of how I get on, what I plant, when and how (or if) it grows. There are many allotment blogs, as I found out when I tried to find a name for the blog that hadn't been taken. Most of the blogs don't last long - maybe the bloggers are too busy on their allotments.
